Call for a dryer repair. They didn't show up the first day the second day the technician came out and did not open up the dryer or do anything but listen to my report of what the dryer was doing.

He told me he knew it was a thermal fuse and that I also had to replace the control board with the thermal fuse. It was $600 to repair. This was at 8 at night I initially agreed because I needed a dryer. I looked at prices for dryers after he left and discovered that a new dryer was about the same price and also that the parts to do the repair we're about $20.

I tried to call the company that night and there's no answering machine or answering service it just rings and rings.

I called first thing in the morning to cancel the order and they told me I'd have to pay 25% of that $600 because they quote already ordered the part. That would be virtually impossible since I saw the guy at 8 at night and I called them at 8 in the morning. I told him I was not paying 25% of $600 for a part I was not receiving and I would be happy to pay for the technicians visit but that would be it. I was told someone would call me back by 3 in the afternoon no one had called me back so I called them.

That person told me they had to look into something and you call me back I didn't hear back from them so I called again. People that answer the phone won't connect you to billing they say their decisions are the last say so and I told them I would be happy to pay for the technician they insist that I have to pay 25% of $600 for this so-called part. A control board for the dryer if in fact it needed one which the technician doesn't know because he never opened up the dryer and looked at it never hooked up a meter of any kind is $200. The thermal fuse ranges anywhere from $9 to $15.

Not anywhere close to the 600 that they said it would cost.

They refused to take my money for the technician but I've already stopped payment on the check for these parts. So they don't actually want to get paid they want to fight over money for something they never sold me.
